The Petronas Towers are some of the highest buildings in the world. They are 452 meters tall. Following the most recent details: the Bamboo Shoot in Taiwan is at this moment the highest building in the world. Also the KL-Tower in Kuala Lumpur is just a little bit higher than the Petronas Towers, but that's a little joke: the KL-Tower (telecommunication Tower) has been built on a hill and that's why it is a bit higher.
The two towers are connected by a sky bridge. When you want to visit the towers, then the sky bridge is the highest point you can get. At this level is also a restaurant located.
If you would like to visit the towers, I would like to advise you to collect your free tickets before ten o'clock. Otherwise it would become late afternoon to go up the tower. If you collect your free ticket early in the morning, than there is on the ticket the exact time, when you should be at the elevator to go up. Do you come at ten o'clock, the exact time should probably 13.00 to go up to the sky bridge.
You can collect your free tickets at the ground floor. The elevator, which brings you to the sky bridge, is located in the basement of the building. The elevator goes very fast and you should take your pictures very fast, because you're not allowed to stay very long long on the bridge. After 5 or 10 minutes you're ordered to go down. It's certainly worth a visit. You shouldn't miss it.
You can see the Petronas Towers almost everywhere in the city. And when you're staying in the Golden Triangle, you can go walking.
At the feet of the Petronas Towers is the trendy shopping mall "Suria KLCC" located. The shopping mall has very expensive shops like: Armani, Chopard, Hermes, Gucci.
In these Petronas Towers are also a cinema, concert hall, conference hall an some prayer room for the Muslim. At the highest level (6) is a small museum of the Petronas Oil Company, of which Malaysia is very proud. When you're renting a car in Malaysia, you will see a lot of petroll stations of the Petronas Oil Company.
The building was designed by Cesar Pelli and has by its rounding some Islamic influences. There are 88 floors and for building the Towers the used a lot of steel and glass. This skyscraper has 32.000 windows en mostly used as a office building.

The Skybridge of the PETRONAS Twin Towers opens from Tuesday to Sunday.
The Skybridge Ticket Counter opens at 8.30am on every operational days.
The visiting hours is from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
As for Monday, the Skybridge would be opened for half day from 9.00am to 1.00pm during school holiday and open full day from 9.00am to 5.00pm if the Monday is Public Holiday, otherwise the Skybridge would be closed. I think it would be good if you could advise your friend to avoid visiting the Skybridge on Monday.
There are 1300 tickets to be issued on first come first serve basis. The ticket is free of charge. Normally the tickets would be finished around 11.00am. The tickets will be issued on the visit day itself. To avoid any disappointment, I would suggest you to come to the ticket counter as early as 8.30am. The Skybridge Ticket counter located at the Concourse Floor (underground) of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. The floor can be accessed from both Towers.
There is no restaurant at the Skybridge. There is only a club, Malaysian Petroleum Club located at Level 41&Level 42. The club is only open for the members.
